Friday 3/27 Chuck Mark with the Forest Service talks about closures and restrictions due to COVID-19. Forest Service is open for phone calls. Gold Bug Hot Springs is now closed. The rest of the developed recreation sites in the forest (campgrounds etc.) will be closed soon also. However, trails and trailheads will remain open. The BLM will also be closing Sharkey Hot Springs.
Mike Warner also spoke on behalf of the Fire Department. The Fireman's Ball has been cancelled. Their fundraiser raffle will still go on with a lot of great prizes, and the drawing will be on May 1st at KSRA. The Memorial Ride is still to be determined.
